11:05 – 11:10 am – Coast Salish Song, by Mavis Pierre (Katzee First Nation)

11:10 – 11:15 am – Prayer Song Kici-Manito by the Traditional Mothers and Grandmother’s Drum Group, (led by Cree Elder Margaret Harris)

11:15 – 11:25 am – Hummingbird Welcome & Blessing, Purpose, Announcements, Introduce MC’s Dean Sam & Colin Head, & Speakers by Mary Fontaine (Mistawasis Cree Nation, Sask.)

11:25 – 11:40 am – Speakers: Pat Dutcher-walls, Don Cowie

1:45 – 2:15 pm - GRAND ENTRY of Pow Wow Dancers, Cree Dancer WilliamVisser and an array of First Nations & Metis Elders, Adults, Youth & Children and Friends from other Nations.

2:15 – 2:30 pm - Lisa Shepherd, Metis Dancer & Beader Artist (See the Arts Room)

2:30 – 2:45 pm – Gunargie O’Sullivan, Storytelling via Media, First Nations Radio Station announcer, multi-talented First Nations Artist

2:45 – 3:15 pm – BREAK TIME AND BROWSING IN ARTS ROOM

3:15 – 3:30 pm - Avital & Karmi Belkin, the Argentine Tango, a Russian Jewish couple, Immigrants to Canada for seven years.  Both are in the medical profession.

3:30 – 3:45 pm - Brander McDonald, Cree songwriter/guitarist from Chilliwack, born in Winnipeg, Indigenous Relations Worker with the Mennonite Church.   Married to Jil Sonia (Mohawk), a brilliant Interior Designer

 

3:45 – 4:00 pm – Ken Owen-Beaver, powerful A Capella performer, descendant of an African American slave family, born and raised in Edmonton Alberta

4::00 – 4:15 pm –Yvonne Chartrand, (Author & Dancer) with the Louis Riel Metis Dancers

4:15 – 4:45 pm – BREAK TIME

4:45 – 5:00 pm – Tim Corliss (Choir Director, Composer/Musician) & Sarah Corliss Music Therapist, Talented & genuine Friends of Hummingbird from the Mennonite tradition

5:00 – 5:30 pm – The Hummingbird Singers (led by Rennie Nahanee, Squamish First Nation) Includes numerous friends from various backgrounds.

5:30 - 6:00 pm – The Lori Barnson Band – Metis Gospel Singers, reside in White Rock BC.  Their awards and nominations include:  Best Gospel Performers of the year for 1999 by the BC Country Music Assoc.; Best Gospel Release for Road to Something More in 2001 by the Music BC Assoc.;   Best Contemporary Album of the Year in 2006 for Goodbye Yesterday by the Canadian Gospel Music Assoc.

6:00 – 6:15 pm – Closing, Farewell,

6:15 – 6:30 pm - Clear Sanctuary for Church Custodians
